Arlington (26-14) had earlier defeated Bolton, 15-5, in the winners bracket final Wednesday on its way to a second district title in three years. The Tigers will be home Monday night for a Region 7 semifinal against Hardin County. Bolton (18-14), which defeated Bartlett, 8-1, in an elimination game Thursday, will try to keep its season alive at District 13 champ Munford

The Beech softball team will begin its Class AAA state title defense against Arlington in a noon game Wednesday at Starplex in Murfreesboro.
Arlington, a program in its eighth year of existence, won District 14-AAA for the second time in three years and Region 7-AAA for the first time this season.

The Tigers roster has just four seniors. Junior Alex Holt (21-8) is the ace for the squad. She had a 19-strikeout no-hitter against Collierville to open the season.
